Closing for the Season

We are closing the farm for the season. It has been a great year and the Lord has blessed us abundantly with a wonderful crop! We want to thank our regular customers as well as first timers for your business! And we really enjoyed seeing all the families with kids who were able to come and have a good time!
We look forward to seeing everyone next year!

Thursday picking...

The farm will be open for picking Thursday night, June 28 from 5-8 PM.

Lost and Found

Lost-And-Found items at the farm:
- a pink bunny basket
- a rocket ship basket
- a large, pink plastic bucket with flowers on the sides
- a pink cotton sun hat
- a blue sippy cup with a red, handled lid
- a white plastic water bottle
- a Canon lens cover
- Off! bug repellant belt clip

Wednesday...

The farm will be open Wednesday, June 27 from 7:30-12.

Tuesday picking

Tuesday evening from 5-8 PM, the farm will be open for picking.

Fewer Ripe Berries

*Note: The blueberry season is quickly coming to an end. Although the 2 rows of Late Blue blueberries are ripe and ready to pick, the rest of the crop is much harder to pick due to a lack of ripe berries. So just know that if you decide to come to the farm, the harvest will not be as plentiful.

Friday Closing

The farm will be closed tomorrow, Friday, June 22. We will be open again on Saturday, June 23, from 7:30-12.

Thursday....

The farm will be open for picking Thursday, June 21, from 5-8 PM.

Wednesday picking......

Wednesday morning, June 20, from 7:30-12, we are open for picking.
And don't forget that the 2 rows of Late Blue's will be open for picking tomorrow as well! Hope to see you there!

Tuesday

The farm will be open for picking Tuesday evening, June 19, from 5-8 PM.
Also, for those who enjoy the late variety of berries, the two rows of Late Blue's will be open for picking on Wednesday.

Monday picking

Monday, June 18, at 7:30-12, the farm will be open for picking. Monday's are a good time to come since there will be more ripe berries from a day and a half of rest.

Saturday

The farm is open Saturday morning, June 16, from 7:30-12.

Friday Morning....

We're open for picking Friday, June 15, from 7:30-12. Still lots of good picking!

Thursday evening...

The farm will be open Thursday evening, June 14, from 5-8 PM. There are still a lot of good berries on the bushes that need to be picked!

Wednesday Picking...

The farm will be open for picking again tomorrow, Wednesday, June 13, from 7:30-12. Come on out, there are a lot of good berries this year!!

Tuesday...

The farm will be open tomorrow, Tuesday, June 12, from 5-8 PM.

Farm Closing

We are closing the farm tomorrow, Saturday, June 9, to allow the field to rest and the berries to ripen. We anticipate opening again on Monday morning, June 11, from 7:30-12. The blog will be updated to let you know if we are open for sure. Thanks to everyone for your business!

CORRECTION

The farm will be open TONIGHT.....Thursday evening from 5-8pm.  Sorry about the that.  We have loads of yummy fresh berries and that means easy picking for you!  Be sure to come out and enjoy an evening of picking, especially since the temps are going to be lower!

Next Picking Time...

Friday evening from 5-8, the farm will be open. Come out and get some blueberries while the picking is good! We have a lot of good looking berries on the bushes right now, so it would be a great opportunity to get yours!

2012 Opening Date!

It's almost time to open! We have decided on an opening date for Wednesday, May 30th.

Our hours are: M,W,F,Sat. 7:30-12
Tues. and Thurs. evenings 5-8 p.m.

Our prices are: $2.75 lb. U-pick berries
$4.50 lb. We-pick berries

If you can't make it to the farm on this day, be sure to call before coming out to make sure we are open. We are looking forward to another good season, so be sure to come and enjoy picking some blueberries this summer!

Almost ready for the 2012 season!

March was very kind to the fruit crops, blueberries in particular.  All that warm weather brought out the flowers earlier than normal.  As a result the crop is about 2 weeks early!  We're still not sure of our opening date but be assured it will be earlier than in years past.  The crop looks really good so be sure to plan a day or two for picking your yearly supply of fresh blueberries.

We so appreciated the article in the Joplin Globe about our blueberry farm.  Hope you got an opportunity to read it and note the yummy recipes that were included. However, we forgot to include the topping for the Blueberry Pie recipe.  I'll post it here in case you want to add it to your pie because it is extra delicious!

Crumb Topping for Blueberry Pie

1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour

Cream softened butter with sugar and flour.
Spoon mixture on top of pie.
Bake 10 minutes at 450.
Turn oven down to 350 and bake for an additional 30 minutes.

Yum!
