Today's field check revealed a lot more berries that are blue! They are still a little tart but in a few days they'll be sweet and juicy.
Soon we'll be picking and freezing these early berries. We freeze them for customers who want pre-picked berries but the supply won't last long once the farm opens for the season.

The month of May brought with it a lot of rain which is a great benefit to the blueberry bushes. The grass and weeds also love it! May is spent keeping the rows and fields mowed and weeded. A never ending job..........
The bushes are looking great. Lots and lots of clusters of plump green berries. It won't be long before they start turning blue! Watching the transition from flower to berry is exciting as we anticipate the sweet, juicy blueberries to come.
